Getting in Gear with Google Gears, Part 2

O’Reilly’s OnLamp has posted the second installment of their how-to guide on using Google Gears. (I wrote about Part I previously.)

In the second article, Jack Herrington walks us through how to use Google Gears’ SQLite database for offline data entry and how to sync the offline data with a PHP web application when connectivity becomes available again.

    Hi!

I know that it’s been a while since you’ve posted this article, but I was wondering something: with Google Gears, is it possible to transfer data from, let’s say, a video game that you play on your computer to an online MySQL database with a PHP interface, or something along the lines of that? I know this question might sound a bit confusing, but I would just like an answer in broad terms, if possible.

    Thanks a lot!
